2012 Annual Meeting

At the recent annual meeting, held February 7th, Jeff Fenimore, Jim Pasko, Bob Sontag and Erle Walton were elected by the owners to serve 2-year terms on the Palm Colony Board of Directors. Continuing on the Board are Bob Baxter, Jim King and Al Werner.

At an organizational meeting of the new Board, Bob Baxter was elected as president, Bob Sontag as vice president, Jim Pasko as secretary, and Al Werner as Treasurer.

2012 Budget Approved

  • On November 16th, the Board of Directors approved the 2012 budget for Palm Colony.
  • The budget projects expenses in 2012 of $619,699, including operating expenses of $552,186 and an annual contribution to reserves of $67,513.
  • The approved budget represents a reduction of approximately 8% from Palm Colony's 2011 budget. Unit Owners will pay $1,208 per calendar quarter compared to $1,316 per quarter in the current year.
  • In addition to annual efforts to maintain our buildings, grounds and amenities, the 2012 budget sets-aside funds for:
    • A continued effort to replace Mahogony trees with other native trees that will not pose problems concerning damage to driveways and sidewalks, or the dropping of large cones that could hit vehicles or people.
    • Sealing the pavers at our pools.
    • Developing a plan to update and improve lighting in pool and cabana areas, and other general use areas within our community.
    • Updating the cabana area at the Canary Island pool.
